We use Après Gel-X tips

Not into sizing kits or in a rush - no worries! We’ll show you how to measure your nails.

Measure your own nails

A clear tape dispenser, a Sharpie permanent marker, and a green ruler on a white surface.

1)  Grab tape, pen or marker, ruler with mm measurements

A close-up of a person's fingernail with black lines drawn on either side, a ruler showing the nail's length, and a blurred background with a black object and part of a white surface.

2. Use your pen to mark the tape at the widest part of your sidewalls

A ruler measuring 14 millimeters placed next to a small object, with a black marker pen and a white surface visible in the background.

3.  Remove the tape from your nail and place on a flat surface. Measure between the marks you just made using millimeters (mm). Make a note of the size of each nail.

If you’re between mm lines on the ruler, it’s best to go up, not down.

**If your nailbeds are very flat or very curved, a sizing kit may work better. Even if a tip matches your nail size, it can still feel tight, so you might need a bigger size for your comfort. Pinched nails are no fun! I have flat nailbeds, and some tips feel tight even if the size looks right. You can file a press-on’s cuticle area and sidewalls for your perfect fit when needed.
